Explanation
Many of you will know that I already have a blog and have done for some time. I’m not stopping that one, but I am making a concerted effort to put my prose up online after years of only doing my poetry.
This journal is a change in strategy, rather than attempting (and consistently failing) to win writing competitions and get published that way (and making sure that nothing I am serious about publishing ends up on the web) I’m trying to build an audience and see if there’s anyone out there who is interested in publishing my work.
I’m unashamedly copying a couple of writing friends, after all if my idea isn’t working and theirs is that must mean it’s time to change the plan right?
So, not short stories per se, but short prose pieces. First one’s Monday – I hope it’s decent.
